Moving Destash

As I pack I'm finding piles of fabric I've pulled to destash. I don't have time to do a huge destash and list them all individually. Instead I've stuffed two boxes full of fabric!
One is: mostly half yards, some larger, some a little small. A few yards, some Fq's, and a few scarps.
it is at least 21 yards worth of fabric or more!
I'm asking $35 + shipping (medium flat rate box is $12.35).
The other box is all scraps! About 3 - gallon sized zip lock bags full. Most of the scraps are traditional fabrics, from my step-mom, plus my scraps mixed in.
I'm asking $20 shipped. ($7.65 + $12.35 shipping).
 SOLD
If you are interested in either, leave your Paypal address and which one you want. I'll send you an invoice. I ask that you pay as soon as possible so I can get these mailed before I get to the point of needing to pack them up.
Thank you!
(writing this on my phone, so here are the pictures. I don't know how to format it on here.) ;)

Packing, Coupons, and Motivation!

So... we will be driving away from Florida in exactly one week from tomorrow. I am kind of freaking out, a little bit in disbelief, and right now - highly unmotivated to pack. :) So about the title: Motivation - there is none. Packing, I have done a lot, but there is still much to do, and I need to get on it, like hours ago. And coupons...

Before I get to coupons, I want to let you know that I rearranged all my Cathedrals bundles. In my Etsy Shop and Craftsy Store. Here is the current and final break down for buying options:

  • The Cathedrals, Cathedral Corners, and Cathedral Squares patterns are available individually in a 12 inch finished block pattern, OR an 18 inch finished block pattern. The two sizes are no longer sold together.
  • The Cathedrals Collection 12 inch is all three designs sold together in the 12 inch size.
  • The Cathedrals Collection 18 inch is all three designs in the 18 inch size.
  • The Cathedrals Collection 12 inch and 18 inch is all three designs in both sizes
Each level of bundling also passes on savings to you, per block. The more you bundle, the more you save! :)

You can find all the options in my Craftsy Store, or my Etsy Shop.
I hope this isn't confusing.

To try and help me get motivated to pack, I decided to create some coupon codes for my Etsy Shop! I took out all the physical items, since most of them are packed away. But I have loads of patterns in there. If you've been holding off, here's a great time to buy the ones you want! :)

Spend $10 or more and save 10% with PACKING10
Spend $15 or more and save 15% with PACKING15
Spend $20 or more and save 20% with PACKING20

Enter the coupon code in the coupon field at checkout. Good on Etsy only. For a limited time. Don't miss out.

Now to get motivated and start packing...

but before that, here's one more distraction (I am all over this one!)

Creativebug is having a Mother's Day Sale!

50% off Creativebug for Mothers Day

That is a good deal. :)

Hope you are all having a wonderful Friday!
Happy weekend!

Cathedrals Collection and Giveaway!

Alright, big news: We are moving to Idaho! In a week and a half. AHHH! My husband got a new job last Friday, and we are super excited, but boy is this a crazy mess!! I am rushing to publish the last of my almost-finished-patterns, so hopefully help us pay all the moving expenses. So... in my last effort before I go into full time packing mode, I want to share with you my newest and most favorite pattern yet!

Cathedrals!

The Cathedrals Collection is a set of three patterns, all based off the same design. Cathedrals being the most complex, Cathedral Corners and Cathedral Squares being more simple.

 Cathedrals

 Cathedral Corners

Cathedral Squares

This was such a fun design to create and make. You can find more information on the pattern descriptions. All patterns include all the goodies I like to include in my patterns: coloring pages, cutting templates, instructions. The hardest part about this pattern is combining the multiple segments at the end. I have trimmed the edges and points of the pattern in a manner which make it a breeze to align the blocks. :)

I hope you like it! The repeats are awesome! I definitely want to make a full quilt of my top block. Maybe a quilt along after I move... :)

This pattern comes in 12 inch finished block size AND 18 inch block size, just like my 70's Geese pattern. But to save you money, I've bundled the two patterns, saving you $2 per design, and you receive both sizes! The Cathedrals Collection combines all three designs, and saves you an extra $3! $1 off per pattern. I think savings are good!! :) What do you think? Would you rather purchase them separately? I could do that too.

You can find all the patterns:
on Etsy: Cathedrals Collection, Cathedrals, Cathedral Squares, Cathedral Corners
or Craftsy:  Cathedrals Collection, Cathedrals, Cathedral Squares, Cathedral Corners

Would you like to win a copy of the Complete Collection?
simply use the rafflecopter below! I'll pick a winner next Monday! :)

Happy Tuesday!! :)
Now I'm off to pack....

Crayon Mug Rug Pattern and Giveaway!

If you are wondering what happened to my pencil mug rug post... I took it down. That pattern is no longer available, as I didn't realize how closely it resembled another pattern that is out there. So just forget about that one. and I apologize. ;)

I would like to introduce you to my newest pattern, Crayon Mug Rug!

This is not just another paper piecing pattern, but rather, it is a pattern on how to create a mug rug! There are step-by-step instructions, including step-by-step diagrams, on how to:
  •  paper piece the pencils
  •  assemble the top
  • self-bind using the backing fabric
Crayon Mug Rug finishes at 10 inches x 6 inches

The pattern also includes:
  • a coloring page, to help plan your  colors before cutting into your fabrics
  • pattern pieces for pencils and borders
  • cutting templates, to help minimize fabric waste, make piecing pencils easier, and are a great tool for fussy cutting.
  • A poem to share with your mug rug (see below).
My favorite part of this pattern:

There are 3 crayon tips that you can choose from! They are fully compatible with each other, so you create a collection of all New Crayons, add in a few Used Crayons, or show which colors are your favorite with the Worn Crayons. Every mug rug will be totally unique!

This mug rug would make for the perfect teacher gift! Teacher Appreciation Day is tomorrow (May 6th), and it is almost the end of the school year! There's plenty of time for end of year teacher gifts!!!  Also great for friends, mothers, artists, children, fathers, etc. This is just a fun pattern all around! Crayons always seem so playful and happy to me! I wish real crayons came with such great wrappers!

Here is the poem that I wrote for Hunter's teacher, to go along with the mug rug I made her for Christmas. (Because I wasn't sure if she would know what it even was. haha.)

Being a teacher takes a lot,
Dedication and work, it never stops.

Your tummy growls, your mouth is dry.
You wish you had a snack nearby.

Now you have the perfect spot,
A mug rug holds a drink and lots
of cookies, treats, and crackers too.

A little gift to say,“Thank You!”
- Diane Bohn
2013

I included a copy of the poem, substituting teacher with mother, father, friend, as well, because I think they are all applicable.

You can purchase the Crayon Mug Rug PDF pattern

on Etsy and Craftsy.

Would you like to win a copy of the pattern???

Use the rafflecopter below and I will pick a winner by the end of the week.

I hope you have a wonderful week!
and good luck! :)
