Sew, Mama, Sew! Giveaway Day! #2

Giveaway Day

Today is Giveaway Day! Wahoo! I love these Sew, Mama, Sew days! I think they are a lot of fun! Though I always have a hard time trying to figure out what to giveaway. I decided to do two giveaways while rummaging through my stash... you can find the other giveaway here.

So for today's giveaway I am offering
one charm pack of these 21 Michael Miller Clown fabrics!
(5" squares cut from my stash)

DSC_0854

These are another collection I've had in my stash for a while. I think the favorite thing I've used them for so far was making some wonky stars for the do.Good Stitches group I was in earlier this year. These are so much fun! I definitely have a quilt planned with these, but have yet to get to them.

To Enter:
only ONE is mandatory

1. Leave a comment on my blog telling me your favorite Christmas memory!
2. Follow my blog and leave a comment letting me know how you do!
3. Go enter the giveaway at The One Stop Giveaway Shop and let me know you did! :)

Good luck!

Giveaway will end 12/07 @ 5pm PST
Open to international entries!

p.s. I am offering one more giveaway as well, so don't miss it!

That's a tough question for me. I'll have to think about it and get back to you. ;) There are a lot of good memories! I guess mostly they involve lots of family, good food, and just being together and being happy. :) Ok, that's non-specific. I'll keep thinking!

  1. I was past due with the sixth baby and all my other kids were at the in-laws and I wasn't able to travel to see my babes. My in-laws, mother, sister and aunt loaded up their vehicles and brought the kids, gifts and Christmas dinner up to our house for the day to celebrate Christmas.

  12. I know I'm supposed to want to be with lots and lots of family around the holidays, but last year was my favorite. Just me, my husband and our five children. We played games, ate good food and enjoyed each other. Sometimes more people (and all the tension adult family brings) isn't always better!

  25. My dad plays Santa for the neighborhood kids and a few years ago one of them afterwards told his mom that he found out a secret. He was convinced that my dad was Santa who spends the rest of the year not at the North Pole but in our little village. He has been very respectful to my dad ever since.

I rode that thing every day I could. I would even try to do tricks with home made ramps in our driveway...I'm really surprised I didn't get seriously injured. This was way before helmets and pads were common.

  86. As a military child, we were in a new place almost every Christmas. The day after Thanksgiving, we would go down to my father's submarine and decorate the galley (Kitchen and dining room) with a tiny tree and lights. One year, a bunch of boys (sailors) helped make paper garland to hang up as well. We stayed for hours and had lots of help. They all broke out the cards and hot chocolate and we had ourselves a wonderful Christmas time celebration, hundreds of miles from all of their homes.

On Christmas Eve we put a lantern in the middle and had a magical time skating in the dark with a bonfire and hot chocolate. Even now, many years later, my very grown up children remember that night with such pleasure. Every year we hope to be able to do it again, but there's always too much snow.

  149. When I was twelve. My parents always wrapped the gifts and put them under the tree before Christmas. That year they left the six of us home while they went shopping. We got all the presents out and lined them up and counted and compared sizes of each gift. The only box with my name on it was a used Christmas card box not even wrapped but taped shut. I pried the tape up and looked inside. One pair of white cotton underpants. That was it. All the other kids had at least three nicely wrapped gifts. I thought I must have been really bad that year. I cried and cried. On Christmas morning I wouldn't even get up and go downstairs. My dad finally hauled me down there and in front of the tree was a beautiful full size red bike. I never peeked at my gifts again.
